Flawless Issues’ Peanuts EP blends lo-fi, indie pop, synthpop, and experimental electronic music into a nostalgic, slightly eerie sound. Recorded entirely in a basement using 4- and 8-track cassette recorders, analog gear, cheap Yamaha and Casio keyboards, and even a home organ, the EP embraces a raw, DIY aesthetic. While rooted in Halloween, it reaches beyond the spooky season, capturing the transition from autumn into winter and stretching all the way into spring. Tracks like Moonlight lean into the colder, darker months, making the EP a soundtrack for the entire season.
